I began my career as a porter in the early 1990s and gradually worked my way up to become a salesperson and eventually a store manager. I understand the importance of hard work and persistence. In 2001, I took the leap and opened my own retail store, which I expanded to three locations. Unfortunately, we lost everything during the recession of 2006 and were forced to close all stores by 2009. Since then, I have been working with leading wholesale companies in New York and New Jersey in the e-commerce department, which inspired me to start an online rug store.
